Teo drives me nuts.

As stated in the title, Mateo is a nutcase, and he drives me crazy. I sometimes worry he will never be a service dog. He plays with my socks and when yelled at, drops them in my lap, pees on my dirty laundry to let me know I need to wash it, licks my tonsils if he is worried I don't love him, and has, more than once, managed to clock me in the face with his goofy self.

He has boundless energy, the quickest of wits, but even more endless is his ability to love. Not only is Mateo a lover, but he wants to please. So even as I type this and he is sticking his elbows into my legs at angles they shouldn't be capable of, he still manages to reach his head back and lick the back of my knee, making me smile (and twitch a little bit).

I hope you enjoy reading about our wacky journey.

Much love and sloppy kisses,
Ariel and SDIT Mateo

Introducing Mateo

Teo is my wacky-go-lucky (we're still coining the term) Giant Schnauzer/Standard Poodle boy. He is about 8 months old, and boy is he... interesting. He is in training to be my medical alert/psychiatric support service dog. I am a 19 year old named Ariel, and I have several medical disabilities. They are Bipolar I - RC, Sensory Processing Disorder, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, ADHD and migraine headaches. Between my disorders I am unable to drive, work or even function alone outside of home. My hope is that Mateo will help change that. He's the light of my life along with his brother Maddox, my three legged wonder. As silly as he may be, he helps my world keep turning.
